about

The piano featured in the central section of this track is a sample library of my 1911 C.Bechstein upright, a Model 9, recorded and created by Patrick Ytting. It is available for free download from www.pianobook.co.uk.

I am indebted to Greta Stoddart for allowing me to edit some lines from her poem and for reading them for me. Please do explore her amazing work. (www.gretastoddart.co.uk)

The associated photograph is of Brendon Murless' sculpture "The Air We Breathe" which is situated in Langmoor Garden on Lyme Regis seafront. Brendon commented, "I wanted to highlight the importance of trees, for air and life, by showing the clear structural similarities in our lungs and the branches of a tree."

lyrics

"You dead in spring is not the same as you dead in winter,

You, who were so complicatedly here, are now, so simply,

Gone...gone...gone..."
